The human form of life is not given to us in order to work hard, like pigs and dogs, but to achieve the highest perfection of life. If we do not strive for this perfection, then, driven by the laws of nature, we will be forced to work in the sweat of our faces.

This transcendental vibration – Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare – is the sublime method of awakening our Krishna consciousness. As spiritual souls, we are all originally Krishna-conscious beings, but because of our association with matter since time immemorial, our consciousness is now polluted by the material atmosphere. In this polluted situation, we all try to exploit the resources of material nature, but in fact we get more and more entangled in problems. This illusion is called "maya", or the hard struggle for existence against the harsh laws of material nature. This illusory struggle against material nature can be immediately stopped by awakening our Krishna consciousness.
